"You tricked me, Mr. Krabs! I wouldn't have collected all those jellyfish had I known that this was their fate! This isn't right! Jellyfish need wide-open space and fresh air!"
― SpongeBob confronting Mr. Krabs
The old factory scene is an infamous scene in the super-famous episode, Jellyfish Hunter.
Why This Scene Is So Cruel?[]
After No-Name snatches SpongeBob into a jar and takes him to the factory, it shows him what is truly happening to the jellyfish after catching them. Inside the factory, SpongeBob watches in horror as the jellyfish are being milked to death for their jelly by robots. And you wouldn't guess who the mastermind is behind this torture. Yes, that's right. It's Mr. Krabs himself!! It turns out that the stingy, old crab tricked SpongeBob into poaching all of the jellyfish from Jellyfish Fields so he can milk them of their jelly and sell it to make more Jelly Patties. That is considered animal abuse.
Redeemable qualities[]
- Mr. Krabs foolishly accidentally freed all the jellyfish and later gets his punishment.
- Mr. Krabs gets his well-deserved karma for abusing the jellyfish and tricking SpongeBob into poaching them. However, considering that he had already killed numerous jellyfish, as shown in the scene, this karma is minor.
