The Paper is a non-infamous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, Squidward gives SpongeBob a paper, before giving everything he owns to him to get it back.
Why It's Wet Paper[]
Well, this actually doesn’t have many funny jokes. It almost seems like a post-movie SpongeBob episode, with having a lot of traits other Squidward torture episodes have. Overall, just not a funny Squidward torture-filled episode. Also the mustache joke can be seen as a reference to Adolf Hitler, because when SpongeBob uses the paper as a mustache, it looks like Hitler’s mustache.
Trivia[]
- This episode is rarely aired, due to the fact it is paired with Valentine's Day. Ironically, Valentines Day isn't that bad of an episode.
- This episode spawned a famous meme, during which Squidward gets ready to relax, but leaves when he sees SpongeBob.
- This is the first time Squidward was naked, out of many others.
- However, in "Bubblestand", Squidward reaches into his pocket, but he doesn't wear pants. This could technically mean Squidward wasn't naked.
- Former DeviantArt user Intrancity considers this to be one of the worst episodes of the series, alongside Krusty Love.
