The Fish Bowl is a super-infamous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, while Sandy is trying to study SpongeBob and Patrick's behavioral patterns correctly so they won't complain about ice cream, her science experiment goes awry and bizzare.
Why It's A Bowl Of Seahorse Radish Rather Than Ice Cream[]
- Both Sandy and Patrick are unlikable in this episode. Sandy constantly refuses to give Squidward ice cream by saying she’s out of ice cream and Patrick takes advantage of SpongeBob after Sandy puts him in charge. Apart from SpongeBob torture, this episode is also considered as ScumBob for Squidward torture. His role in this episode is just to get tortured, which is done too many times on this show.
- The ending should’ve been good because Patrick eventually apologizes to SpongeBob, but nope, it didn’t. Both of them blame the experiment, which could’ve been offensive to the people who’s into science. Not to mention, Squidward shows up at the very end, but only to get tortured again. SpongeBob, Patrick, Gary, and Sandy do an experiment on Squidward, and it seems the four of them don’t even care about Squidward’s meltdown.
- PIEGUYRULZ gave this episode a ScumBob for the episode’s boredom. The sequence of SpongeBob and Patrick counting the sand does drag on way too long.
Redeeming Qualities[]
- At least, Patrick eventually apologized for his unfair actions, unlike in the episode Yours, Mine and Mine.
- SpongeBob (most of the time), Squidward, Gary and the Bikini Bottomites are still likeable.
- There’s a hidden Mickey in this episode.
Reception[]
It is one of the lowest-rated episodes on Episode Ninja, with an average score of 6.18/10 based on 38 votes.
