That Sinking Feeling is a low super-infamous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, SpongeBob & Patrick dig under Squidward's house to avoid annoying him.
Why The Love For This Episode Is Sinking:[]
This episode is very annoying & frustrating, & it is packed with filler. The beginning is filled with nothing but both SpongeBob & Patrick's annoying laughing for 40 seconds! Apart from that, some of the parts really take forever, like SpongeBob & Patrick digging the underground tunnels between their house, both of them playing the Tag game, Squidward looking for both Patrick & SpongeBob, & Squidward chasing both of them. What makes this episode even more boring & pointless to watch is that the audience already knows that SpongeBob & Patrick are underground when Squidward is looking for them. Not to mention a frustrating part about Patrick choosing which one of their yards to play in. The ending is also awful because all the buildings in Bikini Bottom are sunk by those 2 annoying characters. At least the townspeople do nothing wrong this time!
To make things worse, Squidward threatened SpongeBob and Patrick that he'll grind them to chum if they didn't dig his house out. That statement is considered a death threat which is highly offensive considering the fact that it is a show meant for children. But this isn't the first time Squidward made a death threat to SpongeBob. In fact, he attempted to murder him in the mattress episode before the cop stopped him from doing so.
Also, the story is unoriginal because we've already had "Chum Caverns", another episode about characters going underground. Besides, this is like, the millionth time we've had an episode of Squidward getting tortured.
Redeeming Qualities:[]
- It spawned the Squidward looking out his window meme.
- It has good jokes like the dirt joke.
- "You 2 morons, SUNK MY HOUSE!!!".
- SpongeBob and Patrick care about Squidward and dug a tunnel under his house to disturb him less. Unfortunately, the Sea Plants vibrated and pulled Squidward's house into the tunnel.

- While Jem Reviews still dislikes this episode, he didn't quite consider it to be among the worst episodes.
- This episode was nominated for an Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program Emmy, but like every other Emmy, it did not win. It competed against Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa (winner), Adventure Time's "It Came from the Nightosphere", Robot Chicken's "Robot Chicken's DP Christmas Special", & Regular Show's "Mordecai & the Rigbys".
