Squirrel Jelly is a mid super-infamous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, SpongeBob and Patrick have their peaceful day of Jellyfishing disturbed by Sandy's competitive nature.
AIR DATE FOR THIS EPISODE: NOVEMBER 18, 2018
Why It's Not Our Jelly To Our Peanut Butter[]
- Sandy's competitive nature is torturing everyone here in this episode, the last couple of minutes are just boring filler. Not to mention this is not supposed to be longer than 11 minutes.
- Now this is what you call the flanderization of Sandy thanks to her love for extreme sport(z)s, and to think it was bad enough with her simplification where she loved science and nothing more beyond that; just turning her into a complete science geek.
- The idea of Sandy jellyfishing could be a good idea but they choose destruction of a character first.
- It ripped off a ton of episodes like Jellyfish Hunter, which makes it a worst case of being a bad rehash.
- A TON OF TORTURE FOR A TON OF CHARACTERS.
Reception[]
It is one of the lowest-rated episodes on Episode Ninja, with an average score of 6.07/10 based on 29 votes. It's also A.S.K. Air's second least favorite season 11 episode, and Mr. Enter's ninth least favorite episode of all time.
Redeeming Qualities[]
- This episode is kind of buddha inspired due to the scene of Sandy's treedome acting like a zen garden!
- Everyone (expect Sandy) is still likeable.
- Larry's Line "GEE, YOU THINK?!" was funny and true.
- Unlike Ink Lemonade the ending was good, and someone gets their comeuppance at the end.
- Sandy's fight with the Jellyfish was great.
- Despite the reused title card Another Best Day Ever was fitting and it would make an appearance in The LEGENDARY-famous Episode SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout.
- A good moral in the middle part: The importance of playing games is to have fun, not to be overcompetitive.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, it's paired up with the ULTRA-famous episode "The String".
- At the end of the episode, the blue jellyfish (No Name/Friend) makes a cameo.
- This is EmployeeaMillion's 3rd least favorite Season 11 episode.
