Why This Scene Doesn't Make Squidward A Welcome Guest?[]
After Squidward quit his job at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob was kind enough to give him hospitality for awhile. But even though the cephalopod promised to stay until he's re-employed, it becomes clear he has no intention to find a new job, and slowly begins to take advantage of SpongeBob's generosity.
This goes on from six weeks to many, many months. So long in fact, the French narrator got tired and a new English narrator was hired to fill in the amount of time it took when SpongeBob's patience reached the end of the anchor's chain.
One day, when all of SpongeBob's hints failed because Squidward was purposely ignoring them, he decided to give the lazy and ungrateful octopus a piece of his mind. And to think, this whole mess was because of Mr. Krabs' accusations that he stole his first dime. Getting worked up over a dime from, presumingly, the B.C ages.
Redeemable qualities[]
- It was really generous of SpongeBob to provide hospitality in the first few minutes of the episode.
- When it soon becomes clear to SpongeBob that Squidward is taking advantage of him, he mustered up the strength to stand up for what's right and give his so-called guest a piece of his mind.
