"Enough! Listen up! Squidward's ghost is feeling unusually generous today. He hath decided to spare ye a horrible fate. All ye must do is tend to my every whim and tickle my fancy on demand. (SpongeBob: Does that include-?) Quiet! Now, do as you're told, lest ye incur the wrath of Squidward!"

― Squidward lying to SpongeBob and Patrick by pretending to be a ghost.

The Squidward pretending to be a ghost scene is an infamous scene in the famous episode, Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost.

Why This Scene Makes Squidward an Unfriendly Ghost?[]

While Squidward was busy in the shower, SpongeBob and Patrick accidentally ruined his wax sculpture with their wax frisbee. They believed that the sculpture was the actual Squidward. Patrick made the situation worse when the sun melted the sculpture, making him and SpongeBob thinking that Squidward has died. But all of a sudden, the real Squidward comes out of the shower, covered in white talcum powder and wearing a white bath robe. Terrified, SpongeBob and Patrick came to believe that they're seeing Squidward's ghost, hoping to evade his wrath, promise to obey his every command. So, instead of telling the truth, Squidward cruelly decides to play along with the act and trick the duo into believing that he is really a ghost. He then goes on the make the situation worse when he forces SpongeBob and Patrick to pamper him and work their butts off like they were his slaves. This mean-spirited move is crystal clear that Squidward would do anything to take advantage of others in order to get what he wants. Even if it means abusing them.
