Squidward become a snob and a painful jerk because after he thought Patrick has grown a "beard" (which actually a sea urchin) he separates Patrick from SpongeBob. This episode also has some SpongeBob torture.
To make matters worse, this episode is paired up with the super-infamous Oral Report, where we see even more SpongeBob torture.
Redeeming Qualities[]
Squidward gets his comeuppance in the end.
SpongeBob sticking the paper drawing on the wall to replace the ruined painting is absolutely hilarious.
