Squid Defense is a semi-infamous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, Squidward tries to learn karate.
Why This Episode Is Not A Good Defense[]
This episode gives karate such a bad name. Squidward drops his groceries and thinks he needs karate training, which cuts to what is basically an endless Squidward torture montage as his karate backfires. Despite Sandy teaching him to only use karate for defense, Squidward assaults the guy whom he thinks stole his groceries. It turns out the guy was trying to give Squidward his groceries, so the cops come and arrest him for assaulting the guy and it rips off Karate Star It had two same writers and The same Title Card instead of a ripoff we just have to call it a Remake of Karate Star.
Redeeming Qualities[]
- While the ending makes absolutely no sense, at least the police showing up and arresting Squidward for beating a guy for no reason is somewhat a comeuppance for Squidward.
- It teaches the audience about revenge and the consequences that comes with it.
