Why This ScumBob Is A Bad Habit In Of Itself?[]
Oh, my goodness, we got another rip-off of Funny Pants, but it replaces laughing with nail-biting.
The episode starts out fine and OK, but afterwards it quickly spirals out of control as soon as SpongeBob goes rabid, craving his and everybody's fingernails. What few gags there are disgusting and, in the end, SpongeBob bites Hans' nails, making Squidward bite his nails as well. The ending is super infamous.
Who thought this episode would be acceptable? It will not even be relatable to a big enough amount of people because SpongeBob is an adult and most adults already quitted this habit when they were children, yet alone this will be an even more unpleasant watch for those who still bite their nails. Also, the way the habit goes over the top makes us seem like we're creepy if we bite our fingernails!
Plus, you can think that SpongeBob got his nail-biting habits cured in the end, well, it did not.
Ironically, this episode is paired with the famous episode SpongeBob in RandomLand, and that episode was way better!
Redeeming Qualities[]
- Unlike in some ScumBob episodes, Patrick was likeable.
- While it was pretty gross, it is at least better than another infamously gross episode The Splinter.
- At least, SpongeBob did call Sandy for help with his nail-biting problem, unlike in the past episodes, where he didn't.
- Although most characters in this episode got torture, Squidward didn't get any torture.
