Here are the rules and regulations of this wiki in which you must agree to follow.
General
- No trolling or harassment.
- Be respectful of other user's opinions on episodes.
- No spam or vandalism.
- No FANDOM Term's of Use violations.
- Don't edit others user pages without their consent.
- This also includes administrators and bureaucrats, unless the profile page contains stuff that violates the policy.
- Please don't use strong profanity. This includes the s word, f word, b word, and the n word.
- Words like damn, crap, and any other mild words are allowed, as long as they're not used against someone.
- No abusive, pornographic, offensive, or inappropriate content may be posted on this wiki.
Article policy
Episode articles
- Episode articles are classified into two groups: Infamous episodes and semi-infamous episodes.
- Infamous Episode - An episode that is mainly disliked by the community.
- Semi-infamous Episode - An episode that is disliked, but is also liked by a good portion of the community.
- Articles must use the "Infamous Episode Infobox." If it is not on an article, add one!
- Never use words like "I" or "me" when editing an article.
Character articles
- Character infoboxes do not need to be added on these articles, but they are recommended.
- However, the article has to have a picture.
Blocking policy
The following section outlines the procedures which must be followed by an administrator in the situation of a violating user:
- The first offense a user makes must be responded by a warning first.
- If the user makes the same violation after the warning was issued within 24 hours, the administrator must try and contact the user again.
- If the user makes the same violation after 24 hours has passed, they may be blocked for a maximum of two weeks, depending on the severity.
- If a user vandalizes the wiki as their first contributions, they may be blocked indefinitely without receiving any warnings.
Challenged blocks
- A challenged block is when a block which has been put into effect has been questioned by someone.
- When a user feels that a block made by an administrator is unfair, they may bring it up to the bureaucrats in which a vote by them will be made.
- When a user feels that a block made by a bureaucrat is unfair, they may bring up a block review to question the block with the whole community.
Blocking administrators
- Administrators are trusted to have good judgement and uses of this important tool. This also means they are trusted to resolve disputes with users but also with other sysops. This is the following protocol to follow when an administrator abuses their rights to block users invalidly or block another administrator.
- When an administrator abuses their rights, they will be given a warning. If done again, they will instantly be demoted and a discussion shall be brought up to whether they should keep their rights or not.
- When an administrator blocks another administrator, they will be suspended from their position for one month, blocked from the wiki for three days, and an emergency review for them will be initiated.
- Other cases of abuse will be swiftly discussed within' the bureaucrats.
- When a bureaucrat abuses their rights, a discussion will immediately be brought up and FANDOM staff may intervene.
Promotions
As of May 17, 2024, there are no formal requirements to be promoted to any given position. However, your chances of receiving a promotion are substantially higher if you meet the following criteria:

Deletion
Deleting articles
- A page may be deleted for being irrelevant, spam, unnecessary. Any administrator may delete any page at their discretion if they wish without discussion.
- However, if a page deletion is challenged, a discussion will be brought up to determine the final result.
Deletion discussions
- Any user may start a deletion discussion.
- Deletion requests must last for 5 days or more and 70% of voters must support the deletion so the page can be deleted.
- To be eligible to vote, you MUST be an authorized logged in user. Votes made by anonymous accounts will be removed first hand.
- Do not alter, change, or remove votes. Doing so will have your vote nullified and you will be disqualified from community discussions for a maximum of thirty (30) days.
- You may not force or bribe users to vote in any sort of way. Evidence of anyone violating this will result in a three day block from the wiki and further consequences, depending how serious the issue is.
- Excessive advertising is not allowed.
Badges
Main article: ScumBob Wiki:Badges
Badges are a feature on this wiki and many others, but they come with rules.
- Don't edit a page and then undo that edit just for badges, unless you accidentally did a simple mistake on an article.
- Do not make multiple respective edits with little to no changes in a short period of time on the same article for Badges.
What they are for?
- Badges are used as a reward for contributing to the wiki. They should not be used as an addiction however. They are meant to be achieved when good quality work is made, and they should be achieved appropriately. Badge farming won't be tolerated as that's not what they are for. Please also don't brag about badges. They are just a simple reward, that's all.
Consequences
- Per the blocking policy, an administrator must notify the user in violation via their message wall. If the user continues to badge farm after the warning, the administrator must hand out a second warning. Any violations after this will result in a two week block unless otherwise stated.
Sources
- The main source that should be used for the plot, infobox, gallery, quotes, and title card is Encyclopedia SpongeBobia.
- Opinion info can also be obtained from that website, although other SpongeBob fansites are allowed for opinions.
