Plankton Retires is a semi-infamous episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, Plankton closes down the Chum Bucket to move away, but Mr. Krabs suspects that he is up to something, so he and SpongeBob spy on him.
Why It Needs To Retire[]
People call it ScumBob because this episode's premise is way too similar to "New Leaf". In both episodes:
- Plankton closes the Chum Bucket, and Mr. Krabs suspects that he is up to no good.
- He starts spying on him with the assistance of SpongeBob, and appears to eventually believe that Plankton was honest.
- Plankton reveals that it was all part of his plan to steal the secret formula, only for him to be tricked by Mr. Krabs in the end.
It's also a ripoff of Spy Buddies. They wouldn't let Plankton retire to maintain the status quo.
