"It's not fair. Why would Mr. Krabs try so hard to get rid of me? I'm only on vacation. Unless, it's a... (gasps) ...permanent vacation! That's it! Mr. Krabs wants to replace me. Oh, I should've known! Patrick's had his eye on my job all along! He's been scheming! They think I'm outdated! They think I'm all washed up! Well, I'll show them!"
― SpongeBob
The Mr. Krabs ditching SpongeBob scene is an infamous scene in the episode, Bummer Vacation.
Why This Scene Makes You Want to Loathe Mr. Krabs![]
When Mr. Krabs grows tired of trying to get SpongeBob to enjoy his vacation, he drives past his home all the way out to the kelp forest. And here's where he does his most heinous and evil thing ever: he takes out SpongeBob's spatula, tricks SpongeBob into playing fetch with it and then abandons him! That's right! The stingy old crab abandons his number one fry-cook into the kelp forest in a last-ditch effort to get him to "enjoy his vacation!" How could you abandon SpongeBob after everything he's done for you, Mr. Krabs?! We all understand that you want him to be on vacation, but that was just too much! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, YOU GREEDY, SELFISH, OLD CHEAPSKATE!!!
