The Mr. Krabs Selling SpongeBob for 62 Cents scene is an ULTRA-infamous scene from the semi-infamous episode "Born Again Krabs."
Why We Want To Trade This Scene For 62 Cents:[]
People hate this scene for two reasons that would actually be normal in Seasons 6 to 8.
The first problem is Mr. Krabs being greedy. He sold his fry cook that makes his restaurant alive as seen in "Nature Pants." All 62 cents can do is buy low quality gum.
The second reason is that this is considered SpongeBob torture since Mr. Krabs sold SpongeBob to the Flying Dutchman to Davy Jones' Locker. This is something that would be expected from later seasons (Season 6-8 specifically), not Season 3.
Redeeming Qualities[]
- Squidward rightfully calls out Mr. Krabs for doing it.
- SpongeBob was so annoying, the Flying Dutchman gave him back to Mr. Krabs, so it's kind of a good move for him.
- SpongeBob still kept his attitude.
- When Squidward calls out Mr. Krabs, it was enough to make Mr. Krabs himself feel ashamed of what he did, and wants Spongebob back.
- This scene shows that Mr. Krabs never learned from his past actions when he promises to improve by not being cheap anymore, which fits into the episode's plot.
Trivia[]
- This is the 3rd ULTRA or HYPER-infamous scene from the pre-movie era the first one being Wormy Close-Up and the second one being The Dummy shirt scene.
