There have been many predictions regarding episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. This page documents all the infamous predictions people have had on episodes in the series. My Leg! People must thought this episode would SPAM THE WHOLE EPISODE WITH THE MY LEG! MEME. If this was the case it would cause this meme to come to an end. That turned out to be the case but it turned out to be a HYPER- Famous episode! Sanitation Insanity People thought this episode would a rip-off of Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful. Thankfully, it ended up being unique. Still, it is a gross-out episode. Chatterbox Gary People predicted that this episode would be super annoying based on the title. People also thought the episode would be Squidward torture, based on the synopsis. But it turned out to be a very funny episode. The Grill is Gone People thought this episode would very dumb due to the plot. But when it premiered some people liked it. Krusty Koncessionaires People must have thought this episode would be a rehash/ripoff/sequel to Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom due to the plot. But actually turned out to be one of the most successful episodes! Under the Small Top For unknown reasons people thought this episode would be Squidward Torture some even thought it would end up like House Worming and it sounded like a ripoff of Jolly Lodgers and Don´t Feed The Clowns. But it actually turned out to be a really funny episode. Pat Hearts Squid People thought this episode sounded like a ripoff of Squid's Visit and Love That Squid. However that didn't turn out to be the case! Krusty Kleaners People predicted this episode would be bad because the synopsis sounded really stupid, and that was the case, though many people still like it. SpongeBob In RandomLand Some people thought this episodes plot sounded stupid and it would be a ripoff of Squidward In ClarinetLand and InSPONGEiac that was the case but the good news is some people liked it. Plankton Paranoia People predicted that this episode would be a rip-off of New Leaf, One Coarse Meal, and Plankton Retires, but it turned out to be one of the best of the series. The Hankering People thought this episode would be very dumb and it would end up like Plankton's Regular But it actually turned out to be a very well made and well animated episode. Dirty Bubble Returns People thought this one would be bad due to the fact that earlier with the word "returns" were bad like Bubble Buddy Returns. However it actually turned out to pretty good! Broken Alarm Some people thought this episode's plot sounded stupid and people thought it would be boring but Broken Alarm turned out to be very good and one of the most successful episodes. Bubbletown People were predicting this one would end up like Bubble Buddy Returns, but it turned out to not be, and instead wasn't liked for being boring. Squidward's Sick Daze Some people thought this episode would be a rip off of the semi infamous episode Squiditis. But people actually thought this episode was well made even Handsome Squidward from The Two Faces of Squidward returns in this episode! Girls' Night Out Some people predicted that this episode would be sexist, as it involved girls hanging out, but it turned out to not be the case. The String People predicted that this episode would be a Squidward torture, but it turned out to not be one. Rather, some people hated it because it was boring and the Bikini Bottomites being naked was disturbing. King Plankton Some people thought that this would be another episode where Plankton tries to get the formula in SpongeBob's house. And that although the synopsis doesn't say anything about the formula, it might be a part of the episode at the end. It however didn’t turn out to be the case. Knock Knock, Who´s There? People thought this episode would be very boring due to its plot being this SpongeBob watches Mr. Krabs' house while he is away and goes to extreme measures to prevent burglary. People even thought the title card would be a door due to the title including the word "knock". However none of these turned out to be the case! Patrick´s Tantrum This is probably the most infamous prediction ever because people thought this episode would be very dumb due to the plot however some people liked it! Plankton's Old Chum A few people believed that the plot sounds weak in the episode. They predict that it will be a ScumBob because it would either be a gross-out, a rehash of Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful, or just a filler episode. It turns out many people find the episode amazing. Mind the Gap Some people predicted that this episode will be really dumb, as it involves Squidward for some reason closing the gap in SpongeBob's teeth. However, it turned out to be actually good in execution. Boss for a Day People predicted this would be a ripoff of multiple episodes based off of SpongeBob being left in charge of the Krusty Krab temporarily. When it released in the US, it turned out to be the case. Kwarantined Krab People are predicting that this episode won't be good due to its coincidental ties with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Though a lot of people seen this episode and liked it! Dream Hoppers People are speculating this will be a complete ripoff of Sleepy Time due to the similar plot. However many have loved this episode and even one of the best of season 12 because of the funny visuals, the amazing music, and SpongeBoy's first ever cameo. SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout Most people predicted that this would be another rehash of Truth or Square, which is already an infamous episode due to its long runtime and over-use of celebrities. Other people thought that this episode would just be fan service, and not something that regular viewers will be able to enjoy. It turned out to be an episode liked by most, and even considered best of the series by some. Wallhalla Most people thought this episode would be dumb and stupid due to the plot but it actually turned out to be a very fun episode! Kreepaway Kamp People predict this will be a ScumBob episode because Kamp Koral being used in the main series. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run Some people predict that this will be a pointless movie because of the nonsensical plot as the deleted scenes revealed but because of those scenes being deleted, the plot would be at least different and not pointless this time. As for the another reason of it's hate, this movie is predicted to be in full-CGI animation and will not have any 2D scenes for the entire time. But some people don't care about it and are still excited for the movie. However, when the trailers came out, it turns out to be like a fun adventure and even the animation looks like it was inspired by Spider-Verse. Kamp Koral Many people predict that it will be a unnecessary ScumBob prequel to the original series that it's based off. Hillenburg is NOT strongly against spin offs of any kind. He said that there were no plans for any spin-offs. Even then this show's going to be in full-CGI like the third film. If so then there's a possible chance the original series will switch to CGI as well but not confirmed as of yet. Not to mention this prequel will absolutely ruin Sandy's debut in Tea at the Treedome. The Patrick Star Show Just like Kamp Koral, people thought that another spin-off would be very disrespectful. However, this show turned out to be very creative despite the randomness. Thankfully, Patrick's actual parents and his big sister won't appear thanks a lot to Vincent Waller, so this show is saved!
