Grooming Gary is a high semi-infamous episode episode SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, SpongeBob dresses Gary for a pet show.
Why it doesnt need to get groomed[]
- How many times must we all learn this lesson? "No" really means "No" but unfortunately if one has seen the episode Blackened Sponge in a scene where a customer calls out our protagonist by stating sponges have no ear drums, then it would appear that Gary's defiance has literally fallen on deaf ears.
- It's true about what Gary said in his own language to the other pets and SpongeBob as the translator: "They do not want this kind of pampering, wanted to be treated like companions, not dress up dolls. They don't want scratchy outfits, they want to be scratched!".
- If you ever had a pet who does not want to participate in a degenerate pageant like this, then consider yourself prepared to hear what your pet wants to tell you about how he really feels; no matter the reward they offer at any pet show. If they want to be scratched, let them be scratched by the world they live.
- The episode title is also very suspicious as it sounds like someone is going to sexually take advantage of Gary which is PARAPHELIA at it's finest.
- Many people also think that this is a rip-off of The Great Snail Race, since they both have SpongeBob being a bad pet owner towards Gary.
Groomable qualities[]
- The pet riot spawned a potential meme for the Serbian (B92) dub.
- At least SpongeBob saw the errors of his mistakes and apologized to Gary for forcing him into the pet show against his will.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, its paired up with the famous episode The Slumber Party.
