Many people hate this ending because they think that Squidward didn’t deserve to lose every Sunday off. Even though SpongeBob and Patrick were the ones inside the house, and they were mostly the reason the security system went off. Most people who hate this episode believe that Squid’s punishment was way too harsh for something that he didn’t even cause to begin with.
