Dumped is an extremely low super-infamous episode[1] of SpongeBob SquarePants. In this episode, Gary decides to spend more time with Patrick instead of SpongeBob; but he really just wants something in his pocket.
Why It Should Be Dumped (In The Trash)[]
Patrick shows no remorse in how his friend feels, and repeatedly acts vain towards him trying to make him feel more depressed on purpose. His Idiotic Fatprick personality was beginning to make its presence known. This pattern would continue in other episodes like “I'm with Stupid” and all the way until Season 10, 15 years after this ScumBob of an episode premiered.
People also hate it because of the twist with Gary only liking Patrick because of a cookie, it wasn't brought up or mentioned anywhere in the episode. Considering that he was on his stomach most of the scenes they're in, this foreshadowing was not seen more subtly. This also Flanderized Gary’s character by either making him into a selfish glutton or simple minded pet with little to no awareness depending on how sentient you believe he is in this episode.
Redeeming Qualities[]
- It's heartwarming at least.
- The "Jerry" joke and “Blah Blah Blah” gag was funny.
- At least Patrick got his comeuppance in the end unlike "I'm with Stupid", except for the part where he finally learns the truth about Janet and Marty.
- The ending is nice and Patrick's line "I thought what we had was special!" is pretty funny.
- The episode still has a few funny moments.
- The Title Card Music is Unique and Fitting.
- The art for the characters were done by marker.
- Without this episode, we wouldn't have the Creepypasta called "Bootleg SpongeBob".
- At least Gary redeemed himself in the end.
How To Fix This Episode![]
- Have Patrick show empathy towards SpongeBob instead of making him feel more bad.

- Ironically, it's paired with the ULTRA-famous episode Survival of the Idiots.
- This episode has the lowest score of a pre-movie episode on SpongeBuddy Mania with 5.86/10, based on 117 votes.
- This is the first episode to rank lower than infamous.
