The Cheating on Employee Brotherhood Day scene is an infamous scene in the LEGENDARY-famous episode, Dying for Pie.

Why You Shouldn't Make a Gift for Squidward on Employee Brotherhood Day?[]

It's Employee Brotherhood Day at the Krusty Krab! But, as usual, Squidward does not want any part of it. The day's task is simple: Make a gift for SpongeBob in honor of the day. The only stimulation Mr. Krabs enforced was that the gift must be handmade, not bought. And yet, making a gift was just too taxing was lazy, old Squidward! As a copout, he ends up buying a pie from a group of shady-looking pirates. But despite their half-hearted attempts to disguise their bombs as delicate pastries, Squidward still buys one off of them anyways. And when he shows it to Mr. Krabs a few minutes later, Squidward soon discovered the pie's explosive nature when it nearly killed them both. The pie disappeared soon afterwards and was assumed that SpongeBob ate it. It drastically caused Squidward and Mr. Krabs to believe that SpongeBob will eventually die along with the pastry if the bomb goes off inside of him. Yep, Squiddy, you nearly took your neighbor's life because you couldn't bring yourself to make one, crummy gift. And it only cost you 25 smackeroos!

Redeemable qualities[]

  • Squidward eventually went out of his way to make SpongeBob's final moments the best ones yet before he meets his "untimely demise".
  • In the end, it turns out that SpongeBob didn't literally ate the explosive pie. It is revealed that he had it in his pocket the whole time.
  • Squidward does get karma for nearly putting SpongeBob's life on the line when the explosive pie blew up in his face instead.
