Bikini Bottomites (Otherwise known as Incidentals) are super-infamous characters in some pretty infamous episodes.

Why They Suck Kelp[]

People call them ScumBob because in some episodes, they can be cruel and hypocritical. In fact, in Fungus Among Us they attacked SpongeBob for spreading the fungus. In Stuck in the Wringer, they jeered SpongeBob for yelling at Patrick, even though he put SpongeBob through Hell. In Breath of Fresh Squidward, they all turn against SpongeBob for Squidward's new attitude and don't seem to care when SpongeBob throws Squidward out of his own party. In Gone, they started "National No SpongeBob Day". In Free Samples, they completely tortured Mr. Krabs because they idiotically believed that Plankton's chum Krabby Patties were the real deal. In Little Yellow Book, they read SpongeBob's diary along with Squidward and made fun of him dancing in his underwear, and then completely blame Squidward for all of it after they see SpongeBob run off crying. In Giant Squidward, they try to attack Squidward for not saying "bless you" when one of them sneezed. Like, what?! That should honestly be illegal, and in Slide Whistle Stooges, they were happy when Squidward "died" in a truck explosion all because they were prank victims.

Redeeming Qualities That Donā€™t Suck Kelp[]

They sometimes are pretty nice, and there are some good examples, such as Tom, Scooter, etc. There are also the incidentals that sang and empathized with SpongeBob in ā€œRipped Pantsā€, a famous episode. Other examples are Tom buying all of SpongeBob and Patrickā€™s chocolate in ā€œChocolate with Nutsā€, defeating Plankton in the movie, giving Mr. Krabs his comeuppance in ā€œKrabby Landā€, and more. They also get their comeuppance themselves sometimes. They also are victims of the cast sometimes, such as when Mr. Krabs bans them all from the restaurant and are also victims of Planktonā€™s many schemes.
