Why We Should Be Smart and Bring It Off[]
When the fourth and final night of rehearsal came before the performance, Squidward attempts to conduct the band perfectly. So, he came up with a theory: to have them play loud so they will be good. Unfortunately, they take his theory a bit too literally as they play so loud and badly that the windows of the practice hall break and Squidward's face is deformed beyond recognition, prompting him to change the plan to playing extremely quietly so nobody will hear them. But the band members began to insult each other and pick fights with one another. SpongeBob attempts to intervene, but they brush it off as nonsense and continue fighting. Squidward also tried to quell the rising tensions, but despite his and SpongeBob's best efforts, a mass brawl breaks out that damages most of the instruments. The gang was at what would otherwise be their absolute worse. When the clock strikes 10:00 p.m., everyone stops fighting and starts heading home. Squidward stops them at the entrance and expresses his disappointment at their lack of progress and for not taking his dream seriously. (sighs in disappointment) Well, I hope you're happy, you bunch of stupid idiots. If you had just cooperated with Squidward, that dumb fight of yours wouldn't have happened.
Redeemable qualities[]
- SpongeBob was the only sane person in this scene since he wanted to intervene and stop the fight.
- He was also the only character who respected Squidward's wishes and was able to convince everyone to get their act together for his forlorn neighbor's sake. Thus, leading them to perform the LEGENDARY-famous song, Sweet Victory.
