The “One Coarse Meal” Suicide Scene is an AEON SCUMBOB!-infamous scene from the AEON SCUMBOB!-infamous episode, One Coarse Meal. In this scene, Plankton attempts to commit suicide by getting ran over by an oncoming bus and even asks SpongeBob to step on him.

Why Plankton Shouldn't Have Been Served

If this episode isn’t bad enough, then let’s not forget the infamous suicide scene:

1. OFFENSIVE, and TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE with ABSOLUTELY NO REDEEMING QUALITIES:
   1. For a show rated PG at most, this scene is extremely jarring and cruel. While dark humor has worked effectively in SpongeBob many times, it is used sparingly and implicitly.
      1. This scene blatantly flouts those standards, as Plankton doesn't just contemplate suicide for a few moments, but is actually intent on doing it.
   2. This is made worse by how, unlike other suicide jokes in cartoons, Plankton's method has the realistic ability to kill him.
   3. Kids may be traumatized by his suicide contemplation.
2. Spongebob's so-called "Good Nature" line:
   1. When Plankton orders SpongeBob to step on him as hard as possible, SpongeBob downright says "I'm sorry Plankton, but that flies in the face of my good nature.".
   2. This quote is very infamous because it contradicts the fact that he:
      1. wrongfully scolded his own friends over a toy,
      2. outright neglected and blamed his own pet even after being assaulted by his "pal",
      3. stalked Squidward at boating school, killed innocent clams over a single Krabby Patty and
      4. intentionally sabotaged Squidward's chances of joining a men's choir and upstaging him out of spite and possible jealousy.
      5. There are many other episodes that fly in the face of this line.
3. This whole scene is nothing but Plankton Torture and watching him suffer in the most gruesome way possible.
