I'm very confused.
I'm very confused.
Its not as bad as Episodes such as Demolition.
What page do you want me to debunk reasons next?
Debunking Reasons: (This is not to influence opinions, this is only my criticism of the reasonings! Watch the episode and make your own opinion.)
This is a very cruel SpongeBob torture episode, as he is treated as the victim, as if the writers of this episode actually hated SpongeBob.
Its called conflicts. it's not really a SpongeBob torture episode. At the end people got annoyed at him. That's why they left him. It's not torture when a character is getting punished because of themselves. SpongeBob did this to himself by acting annoying and overly happy to everyone.
It's a cartoon. Anything can happen. Not all good will happen to SpongeBob.
All of the characters (that is, except for SpongeBob) are unlikable and mean-spirited in this episode, as they abandoned SpongeBob and going as far to burn a statue of him, meaning they want to kill him and they hold a grudge of all things, everyone treated him as he never existed before or they just didn’t care about him and they thought it was OK to abandon SpongeBob. They were selfish as well as they don’t bring SpongeBob on the trip just because he has flaws.
While I think the ending was very stupid. But how does burning a statue of SpongeBob means that they want to kill him? Don't take things to the extreme!
The moral is cruel to kids because it’s basically teaching kids how it’s ok to abandon someone because of their flaws
Ok, who put this? That is the WORST REASON I have ever seen in the Scumbob wiki yet. its not
Teaching a moral to kids that it's okay to abandon someone! It's for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY and no kid will do that. It shows SpongeBob getting paranoid and haunted. No kids will want to see that and think, "Hmm, I will do that!"
No one besides Patrick gets a comeuppance for abandoning SpongeBob, they don’t learn their lesson and just get off scot-free.
It's not the kind of show where everyone learns their lessons, and that scene was also for entertainment purposes only. And who knows? Maybe it will happen to everyone in the next few years in the bikini bottom world!
(Im skipping reason 5)
Encyclopedia SpongeBobia references this episode every March 2nd thanks to the Twitter post of the ending, which is a major facepalm for them to do.
What does that have to do with the episode?!!! Just because of that, you hate this episode? Seriously, there are some random reasons for hating an episode.
Mine are
Sentimental Sponge
Gone
Not really that bad. The ending was but the rest of the episode really scares me in a good way.
@NewToonZone The correct way to say it, the people who use the word "torture" are just overreacting to someone getting bad luck. And making it seem that its worse than that.
I Think people saying that an episode or scene is "torture" are overreacting. It's called slapstick. And is a cartoon, not actual people.
imo its not as bad as Demolition or One Corse.
I Like "Sentimental Sponge", And I don't think "To Love A Patty" is that bad.
